PROCEDURES FOR BOOKING MOTOR COACHES, MINI-BUSES AND VANS
INTRODUCTION As of July 22, 2003, the University has entered into an agreement with Action Motor Coach and Limousine, Inc. (Contractor) to provide motor coach, mini-bus, and van transportation. Trips are divided into two categories, in-state and out-of state. Procedures for booking each category are listed below. For the purposes of this service, Washington DC is considered an in-state destination. The priority for reserving vehicles currently in effect will remain so. This policy now covers both the Motor Pool and the Contractor. The priority order is as follows: For Vans
1. Academics 2. Varsity Athletics 3. Other (Sport Clubs, Groups)
For Buses
1. Varsity Athletics 2. Academics 3. Other (Sport Clubs, Groups)
IN-STATE TRAVEL Salisbury University Motor Pool has the first right of refusal for all in-state trips. When booking this category of trip, a S.U. Work Order must be submitted to the Motor Pool Office (MB-123). Please be sure to include the following information:
Size of group Departure location
Destination
Departure time Estimated return time
The Motor Pools fleet includes the following:
1 32 passenger
2 29 passenger 1 21 passenger
All questions regarding travel handled by the Salisbury University Motor Pool should be directed to Colleen Kirby at 3-6211. The Motor Pool may turn down a trip for reasons such as: too large a group, too great a distance, or all the buses are booked. If the Motor Pool cannot provide a group transportation, the group should submit A request to the Auxiliary Services Purchasing Office (CB-206) in accordance with procedures for out-of-state travel via Motor Coach, Mini-Bus or Van.







OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL VIA MOTOR COACH, MINI-BUS, OR VAN Action Motor Coach and Limousine is the University's primary source for out-of-state travel via Motor Coach, Mini-Bus or Van and also serves as the back-up to the Motor Pool for in-state travel via Motor Coach, Mini-Bus or Van. To request transportation from Action Motor Coach, please submit a completed S.U. Requisition For Commodities/Supplies and Services form to the University's Auxiliary Services Purchasing Office (CB-206). The request should be submitted far enough in advance to insure that the appropriate transportation will be available. When booking this category of trip, please be sure to include the following information:

Departure location
Destination Departure time
Estimated return time
The Contractors fleet includes the following:
1 - 57 passenger (coach bus) 2 47 passenger (coach bus)
1 32 passenger (mini-bus)
2 12 passenger (vans)
