We had a great turnout for our Octoberfest meeting at Bothe-Napa State Park last month. The park staff was friendly, the group site nice, and the fall colors and smells of wine country outstanding. Over 50 members and first timers joined the organized tour of around 12 at the campground for the brats, beer, and campfire. Special thanks to Michelle Palmer for organizing the food, drinks and decorations that made for a very successful meeting event (see page 6).
The board of directors have decided to move the November meeting into December for several reasons. First of all there is Thanksgiving taking place in the later part of the month, which means a lot of you will be having big meals and family time. Second the annual Cycle World motorcycle show is the weekend of the 17
th
which puts a damper on wanting to leave
town with so many new bikes and accessories on display in San Mateo that weekend. That left us with just the first two weekends free, and it is too late for those, so here we are hav-ing a meeting the first weekend in December this year.
The general meeting will be held December 1 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chorro Group campsite located in Morro Bay State Park. To get to the park from Route 1, take S. Bay Blvd. to State Park Road.

predictable, the idea of going so far with so little daylight put some wor-ried thoughts into my head. However Morro Bay is not just a stones throw away, and there is an abundance of excel-lent twisting ribbons of asphalt between there and the Bay Area, leav-ing us with an oppor-tunity for an excellent weekend of riding.
