THE TLDI PROCESS
The 32-bit ECU (Engine Control Unit) gives precise fuel injection instructions in accordance to the operating conditions detected by its multiple sensors, maximizing the engine's performance while providing exceptional fuel economy.
*TLDI meets all current regulations stipulated by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) in 2006.
Individual sensors
6 individual sensors provide constant vital engine information to the ECU for maximum efficiency.(115hp only)
Idle noise reduction system
The exhaust gases and the sound are routed through the labyrinth exhaust. This process reduces the noise level to a minimum when exiting above the water line through the idle port.(115hp only)
Direct fuel injection into cylinders
The design of the cylinder head and piston dome, plus the finely atomized fuel mist created by the fuel injector will achieve ideal combustion.
Three step trolling speed
control
The idling speed can be set to any of the three rpm ranges, 700, 800 or 900, by adjusting it on your key switch. This feature allows you to select the ideal trolling speed for maneuvering during a variety of current and wind conditions.
Freshwater flushing port
Comes standard with a convenient built-in freshwater flush system on the side of the engine that simplifies routine engine flushing.(115hp only)
New paint process
Using state-of -the-art machinery,Nissan Marine has upgraded to a 6-step painting process to provide the outboard withsuperior protection from sun or water damage.
High output alternator
Equipped with a high output alternator that produces 37amps of power even at 1,000rpm and a whopping 40amps at wide-open throttle.(115hp only)
Multifunctional tachometer
The tachometer informs the operator of potential problems through the meter indicator and warning lamp.
